I would like to thank everyone who participated in this discussion about Platform Feed and especially Jean_B for her work as a tester for the product.

I do have a question for Jean_B if you read this, have you ever fed Complete Advantage to your horses and, if so, can you compare the two products. Thanks.

I am currently feeding Complete Advantage. Currently, my nearest store carrying Platform Feed is over an hour away, each way. I will hang on to the four bags that I won with the golf cart until I can find someone nearer that carries Platform.

I am wanting to try it and cannot find any dealer within 50 miles that has even heard of it.

I have tried 2 of our local dealers, TSC, and State Line Tack. No Luck, they say they can't even order

it????

: Suggestions?
My TSC store has it so, yes they can order it. I was thinking of switching over, but I hadn't done much research on it yet. I will tonight though.

our tsc just got this in. i read the label yesterday and it does not say it includes beet pulp?? all i saw was flax seed in it. It did say "various forage"

from reading the label it looked to me like a good feed for mature idle horses. dont think i would give it to young horses or show horses.

I e-mailed the company for more information and got an ingredient list. It does include beet pulp, as well as alfalfa, flax, various grains and molasses. It has a fairly extensive ingredient list, but over half are vitamin/mineral sources.

Well I got a bag today to try on two horses, but to be honest there is nothing wrong with my feeding program now and this Platform was almost $3 a bag more than the Omelene 200 that I now buy, plus I stock up every year with the buy two get two free bags of Omelene so its alot cheaper. So I will try it, but unless it does something outstanding, I will stick with what has worked for me for 20 years.

The yearlings have hay bellies which drives me nuts.
I've heard this is because the hay doesn't have enough nutrition alone. Babies need ALOT of groceries to keep them well. We feed our youngstock up and it really does help alot!

I've put my show gelding on Platform- already he is more active in harness. No more sluffing along for HIM! He has an active walk now, instead of the lazy moping....
