As you can see friday night this came from no where, they thought at first she got bit by something or even a snake, but now her white count is very high, along with her tempeture, meds failed to improve her so their going to operate on her in the morning. He tried to aspirate the area today and didn't get nothing out, we where hoping for pus or something to come out, now the swelling is going into her thoart area. She's only 6 months old and I can't lose her

Oh my gosh this is just heartbreaking and brings tears to my eyes!!! What happened to your little girl???? Just gives me a pit in my stomach....I hope and pray that they find out what happened and can pin point what is wrong with her to treat her so she has a quick recovery and is strong and well again. That poor little girl!!! My heart is breaking for you and her.

Looks to me like she got bit by something or stung. I had a Great Dane do that and she had been stung by a hornet.

They gave her antihistimines I believe it was, you know like Benedryl.

Let us know ,,we care! Maxine

Thanks Sterling & Minx, the vet is going in and hoping to find a abcess, maybe one or two of her glands are infected. No sting they had her on steriods & antibotic all weekend with no change, only getting bigger so hopfully by this time tommorow night she'll be here with me & out of pain. Thanks again and I'll give you a update when she's done. Sorry about the double thread, I swear theirs Gremlins messing with my posts latey. Thanks again Peg

My corgi got stung in the nose when she was a puppy her head was huge in a matter of 1/2 hour. The vet gave her benadryl, she was better in a few hours, but it is very scary. I hope things turn out well. I have a friend thats a vet in Brooksville. Good thoughts and prayers are coming your way. Kathy

Oh the poor thing...I"m sending prayers and a big hug for you.

My lab got stung by a few yellowjackets once and swelled up horribly...throwing up, lathargic (could hardly stand), we also gave him benadryl as the vet told us and he was ok in a couple hours, just very tired. Now we carry shots with us.

But yours has been a few days, so I doubt it was that that, but it does sound/look like some kind of allergic reaction...but, I'm no vet!

Keep us updated...(((hugs)))
