I got a note last night from the lady who has "Whinny For Me's Firefly", a beautiful silver buckskin mare who we used to call our own. It makes me feel so proud, and so happy! What a great match Tricia and Firefly are-- it really doesn't get any better!!!

"... Firefly went to a driving fun day where her competition was Cefnoakpark Bouncer . Bouncer was the 2005 world pony combined driving gold medalist and has also been a international champion at many events and represented the USA for many years ... Bouncer also has a beyer model horse of himself... In the timed obstacle driving, Firefly beat Bouncer with a time of 2 minutes..."
Tricia and Firefly earlier this summer:

That sounds like fun. I am new to minis, having purchased a wonderful 14 year old 38" finished driving gelding. I also have 5 gaited horses that I ride regularly. I enjoyed your "About minis" section of your website.

That is cool! What a pretty pony!

Oh, I've seen those pictures but had no idea it was one of your (former) horses! Congrats, Jill! Bouncer is a heck of a horse to have beat.

Tricia just does such a good job with Firefly, who was one of my first driving horses (first mini I had trained to drive... my full size horse was my first driving horse). When I bought Firefly, I was new to minis but not horses and just really liked how she was put together. The lady I bought her from was friends with Tricia, who was a teenager then, but when I first knew Tricia, she was a "kid" who showed Firefly's dam in 4H. It just has a storybook feel to me ever since Firefly became her horse -- she does SO much with her and Firefly has an incredible home. And, Tricia's not a kid anymore LOL! She's a policewoman

I remember Firefly! That must be an extremely satisfying feeling, knowing that she has a great home, a challenging job, and that you helped her become who she is today.

Wow ! What an exciting win. I saw Tricia and Firefly at the World Class Show that was in Moneta last month and they really looked great. Who trained Firefly?
