Well gesh, how do we know if it is a joke or if you were serious? I took it as you meant it and my underwear isn't a problem for me and the moon didn't have anything to do with my not knowing you were joking??

When people don't know each other it is difficult to know how they are saying something and sometimes things come across even as being a smarty pants or such. When you said Old Vegas was mean with the girls unless on lead I thought to myself that I wouldn't want a stallion that acted like that and maybe he shouldn't be in the gene pool....now tell me, am I joking or not? Peoiple are passionate about their stallions and whether they pasture breed or handbreed it is simply a choice for their own good reasons and probably don't take it lightly. I think people were just trying to answer the posters question and didn't think the comment was anything funny....but then who knows for sure. Now don't get your underwear in a bunch just because someone didn't think what you said was funny. Thanks Jean for understanding that we don't all think alike. Mary

However for me the true proof if he should remain in the "gene pool" ......
Good grief this subject sure has some underwear in a bunch. Must be the phase of the moon. My comment was a joke. Geesh!

Well, it really was JUST a question. I wanted to know how often it should be done in order for the mare to get in foal AND how often it was "okay" for it to be done as far as helping DunIT learn to do it without being helped. I do appreciate the humor in the replies. I'd think my own remarks made it obvious I'm open to it. No one else is going to make me less proud to own a stallion like DunIT. Then it seems clear too that a some of us must have just needed to get "something" off our chests. "What-EVER".
