I was contacted by someone that has a viceroy in pieces because they were going to refinish it. Just how difficult would it be to put something like this back together? I usually need lots of pictures in my instructions. So would it be something that I could "tackle" or would it be something that I'd probably regret and have to end up sending to someone else? (Yes, I figure that all the pieces are there as she had pictures of it before they took it apart) The wood did need repainting and the chrome needs work too.

Did they take the wood apart? If so, that might be more than you want to tackle.

I don't think that it would be that difficult to put it back together. The holes are already drilled. If you need to repaint, that is not as simple as brushing it on if you want a mirror-like finish, like a car. You need an airless paint gun. (I can walk you through it, but the process is more than I want to spend time typing. Call me for that.

) Even using really good paint isn't going to get you the finish you probably want without hours and hours of sanding. I've seen painted vehicles that were brushed on without sanding primer.

I don't have any experience in chrome. Body shop?

You could bring it over and we could help you put it together

.....just an idea. Winter is a great time to do that.
