I'm getting the rabies vaccine to one of my horses for the 1st time cause she is going out to get bred and thats what they require. I was wondering is the rabies vaccine in horses the same way you give the other vaccines and you have to get a booster like 3 weeks later? I'm trying to schedule it so she can get it plenty of time before she goes but if she doesn't need the booster then I don't need to worry about it so much. She was going yesterday but thanks to mother nature my trailer got stuck and boy we made a mess of things, lets just say the trailer is going to the shop now

You don't need a booster with the Rabies vaccine. Good Luck

Just make sure your vet gives the shot in the butt -- mine get very sore if the Rabies vaccine is given in the neck
