Dear Friends,
We would like to give you a “Very Warm Welcome” to our Pre‑Season Meet & Greet Event of the year.2008 is going to be an exciting year for our club with many new programs on the horizon and eventsThat will intrigue you to participate in.
This years’ clinic will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 251 Waterman Hill Rd, Greene, RI at Greene Field Farm ~ same site of our clubs first show in May.
Will start at 10:00 a.m.. and is FREE TO ALL. The Clinic will cover the basics of showing, how to fill out the necessary AMHA paperwork, mini demonstrations and a very special presentation given by a popular local judge,Steve Lampson.Mr. Lampson is a nationally recognized judge, who is carded in multiple registries. He was also selected as one of the 2006 AMHA World Show judges. And, he has judged the Best of the Best!Ever wonder what is going through a judges’ mind while you were in the show ring? Mr. Lampson will give us insight on judging, what to look for in a horse and a judges’ perspective in the show ring.He will even be holding “Mini Mock Classes” for all who would like to participate. This will be a great learning experience in all aspects of the show ring.Demonstrations with helpful tips will be given in Halter, Hunter, Jumper, Obstacle and Driving by AMHA World Champion Exhibitors and their Champion Horses. You may even bring your own horse and come learn with us or you are more than welcome to borrow one of our demonstration horses. Seasoned Club Members will also be available to answer questions and help with hands on learning techniques.
At Lunchtime, we can all enjoy a slice or two of Pizza and some mingling. There will also be enough time to browse through the Show Clothes Consignment Sales Rack This will be a good way to pick up gently worn show clothing to start the show season off in style at an affordable price. And chance to bid on mini items in the Silent Auction and watch the parade of horses for sale. This event will also be a great place to meet fellow miniature horse enthusiasts and local New England exhibitors who share our same passion. This is our Club’s way of getting into the show spirit and setting the standard for miniature horse clinics in the future.
Hope you will not miss out on this “Wonderful Opportunity”.....Come join in on all the fun!
If you need directions, Please email Jane at [email protected] or call 401-397-6574
Sincerely,The New England Miniature Horse Society’s Show Committee
