...Them paint weanlings that your talking about, didnt go to a good home. They always bring in a big pen full of them which are wild and dont lead, guess who buys them ...? About 1 or 2 out of the whole group gets a nice home, the other 20 or so get packed on that double deck horse trailer!!!!!
I didnt know that it was how it was, i had only been there once before and when we got there, there was not to many there. Some wild Mustangs, couple ponies (which this is when i bought Joey) and some really good riding horses. We got a paint there (16hands, good rider as they put it and the lady was riding him allll over the place. Through puddles, jumping over obsticles, backing doing everything a well taught horse does!. I even rode it down there and it was a good horse). I did notice it was acting a bit weird when i rode it, either it was the best trained horse i ever rode, or had been doped up. The lady seemed nice and everything, so i gave her the advantage and bought him for $650. Got him home, rode him about 4 days later after he got use to everything outside and me some ...HORSE about killed me. Im not the kind of person who works well on riding training for the horse, and my dad is to old to let do it so my aunt bought him off us for $250. That horse is DEFF. not broke at all. He was jumping with me just putting the saddlepad on!!!!!. He has a good home down at Judy's house though.
I was going to sell my Sammy (brings tears to eyes just thinking about it now!!
) down there but we didnt. This was before i knew what goes on down there ....And also Sammy is not getting sold EVER now. He and i have finially bonded, i think thats because i got angry at the trainer we hired and trained him myself and it really got my attached.
Yes, i do agree sugarcreek is the worst auction ever. I do love to save some of the horses from down there, i just cant bring myself to go back down there unless i really was up for some tears!
