Regarding her color, I had a colt born a couple of years ago (maybe three) that was the exact same color. Sire was Black, dam was Sorrel Pinto, no Dun on either side, but the colt looked so Dun with the dorsal, cross bar, and leg barring. I questioned some people with more experience than me and they assured me that it was only foal countershading and that he would be Black when he shed. Sure enough, after he shed, he was as Black as could be with no sign of any markings.

Rose looks blue roan in the Winter until she sheds, then she is black with Sabino ticking and lacing and is Tobiano. Both of her parents looked black to me.

In person, this filly DOES look dun. But I think her "donkey's cross" is counter shading

But no matter what color she ends up, I love her!

she is a grulla I do believe..and just beautiful I love her!!!!! Looks just like my boy that was born last year....I LOVE that color...send her here..hee hee
