Regarding her color, I had a colt born a couple of years ago (maybe three) that was the exact same color. Sire was Black, dam was Sorrel Pinto, no Dun on either side, but the colt looked so Dun with the dorsal, cross bar, and leg barring. I questioned some people with more experience than me and they assured me that it was only foal countershading and that he would be Black when he shed. Sure enough, after he shed, he was as Black as could be with no sign of any markings.
