I have a 4 y/o solid black half Arabian half Andalusian. I bred this mare and still have her dam and full brother. I have had her for sale for a while now and in August I finally sold her. There is nothing wrong with her, she is just hot and I have a 2 y/o son and Cleo requires a lot of extra work.

The first new owner of Cleo had her for almost a month. The lady loved her and was truly enjoying her but had not had a vet check done yet. So, at the end of the month she finally got a vet out to do one on Cleo. Well, Cleo limped off at the trot in the back after the flexion test. So, the lady called me and said she didn't want to keep her and could she just free lease her for 6 months and have the vet check done again. We said NO and went and picked her up.

So a few days later another lady came to look at Cleo. She bought her on the spot, no vet check no trial period, no reduction in price. The only thing was she was moving from NH to Maine and asked if I would keep her for a month until she moved. I said fine. Cleo left for her new home on Dec. 18 and this morning I get a call from her new owner asking if I would please buy her back. She is having trouble with 4 horses and being at her new house all alone. He husband is awaiting transfer from NH to Maine. So we are going to pick Cleo up on Saturday. I am glad because I would hate to have anything happen to her but I am disappointed she didn't stay in her new home, again.

Isn't she beautiful? Isn't she fabulous? Am I the only one who thinks this of her?

WOW....I have to say I think she is absolutely beautiful. Her face is stunning and her eyes are so expressive and intelligent and she looks like she moves wonderfully.

If I could still ride like I used too I'd love to have her. Same problem you have though, kids keep me really busy and we got into minis now because of my neck/back problems and being told I shouldn't be riding at all and I wanted to stay involved in horses.

looking at your pictures now though, I miss riding like that so much.

She is a good mover and free jumps too. I guess in the spring, I will start her over fences my self. I hope she does not kill me!!

She will be 5 in May, so maybe she will mellow out like her mommy did.

This is a horse my daughter would have done anything to have and train. Cleo is magnificent! I sure hope you find the right home for her.

Have you considered having Bonnie chat with her. I'll bet that "limp" was her way of getting back home, perhaps the same with the Maine home. She loves you obviously, maybe if Bonnie talked with her and explained why you wish to sell and if she would only setle down......best of luck and travel safely. Shame you have to make yet another trip in winter.

No no no, send her down here to Florida, I can make a super nice hunter out of her, and then do dressage show's on the side!

She's a beautiful mare, and can come live with me Any day, hot or not!

I do love her, but don't really want to deal with a hot green horse right now. I don't have a good safe place to ride her here. She is a great jumper and jumps everything all the time. She is only 15.2 though.

Fine by me! Perfect height for me, just not perfect for my mom. I can manage if you just drop her off ;)

A vet can "make" a horse lame. I have no idea how long or how rough the vet was on Cleo but in the flexon test they bend the leg joints for 1 to 3 minutes cutting off circulation. So, it could have been her foot was asleep. Ho well, that lady's loss.

I think if Bonnie had a chat with Cleo, Cleo would say "Why am I not being worshiped in the manner I should be?"

Whoa. What I wouldn't give for your Cleo to be all mine! I only wish I had the cash right now (since I'm doubtful you're wanting to trade her for an actual arm or a leg...), but I'm sure she'll find an excellent home soon with someone else.

What a beautiful horse. I would take her in a heart beat, but then my husband would probably have two fits. Let me decide which do I want

I guess I will take my husband--love him to death just he is on graveyard this week.

Wow... she is stunning

She looks like a fantasy horse. She sure carries herself 'big' for being 15.2.

I can't believe people aren't knocking down your door to have her. Maybe as it starts to warm up she will find her forever home.

I think she could go to Hollywood and be a movie star. I also bet she could throw some gorgeous sport pony babies.
