I know many people here have ridding horses, would you mind sharing some pictures of your big horses or ridding horses? Showing, out in the pasture, trail ridding ...just share!
My dad and i recently invested in a Tennessee Walking Horse 8yr old gelding about 3wks ago. I got to ride him today (i've been ridding my friends QH the past few months, taking a lesson or two here or their) and even though Miniatures and Shetlands are my first love, i dont think i'm going to mind having a big horse around agian. Was a bit timid about the idea bc dad is getting 'up their' in age and still thinks he is a cowboy ...but i'm feeling really good about this now. Will post pics of him sometime this week or next time we make it over to the arena. Dad is from KY so naturally he likes the gaited horses or saddle horses as he calls them, i have to admit ..i like him ...i like him ALLOT. So smoothe, so gentle. I've never gotten into ridding or big horses before and i wasnt expecting this, i am just blown away by how much fun i am having with him and had today ridding him. BTW, his name is Junior. Previous owner (my dads step brother) named him Rosco, that name had to go ..its way to rough for such a gentle soul.
Thank you.
Lets see them, pretty please lol!!!!!
