Sharing my anniversary with you all

[SIZE=14pt]Today is Barry's and my 28th anniversary. What a lovely surprise! He took me to dinner at a fun and fabulous restaraunt called the Melting Pot, It is a fondue place where it takes 2 hours to eat your dinner! There were red long stemmed roses at my place waiting for me.....So romantic! Hes not a really demonstrative sort of guy so this was a super nite! [/SIZE]

First course, Cheese fondue, Cheddar with bacon and white wine.....veggies, and bread cubes to dip....then a salad of fresh greens, mandarine oranges and a teriaki dressing. Next the main course, cooked in a coque au Van broth, there was a plate of vegies, and another plate of lobster tails, shrimp, terriaki beef and chicken that you cooked in the broth on the forks and dipped in 8 different sauces. For desert chocolate fondue, milk chocolate with caramel and cinnamon ON FIRE!!! The shaken on cinnamon sparked like firecrackers!!! So did my heart. It was more than wonderful!!!

That sounds like a wonderful evening. So daring...I have never used a fondu pot I wouldn't know what to dip where My hubby would be way too embarrassed to take me anywhere that has a name that doesn't end in "truck stop"

Happy anniversary sounds like you had a fun evening. l had my 29th in Nov time sure goes by fast when you look back. Some people don't but l sure got a lot of wrinkles in that time.

Awww man does that sound like a feast fit for a king!!! You made me hungry just talking about the veggies and the meats dipped in their special sauces...and the desserts....

Harvey and my anniversary is coming up soon, too. So far as I know, no real plans. We've only been married 2 years but we had our first date on 12/20/85 (and took us 18 years to the day to get married)...
