Both my mares are pregnant for the first time and due in April and May. The mare due in April is significantly chunky and the other is starting to loose her girly figure also. I wasn't expecting them to start "showing" until January. Do you think they're really showing or just eating too much?

It is possible, especially if they are small mares that they are already showing. Mine are all larger mares and I often cant look at them and say definitely they are still in foal until they are about 9 months.

But at 7-8 months they get a different look to them, just not an obvious I am in foal look. Kinda like when you are pregnant and you think you just look fat but are not big enough for maternity clothes yet.

Mines due in feb, but you could tell she was pregnant 2 months ago, maiden mare. Ultra sound in foal.
