I need showmanship help PLEASE. Here is my question - When walking to the judge where do you align your horse after you stop? Should the horse be standing directly in front of the judge? Reason why I asked is after my showmanship class the judge said to me "your horse's head needs to be at my chest". I wasn't sure what he meant by the comment. HELP!

Your horse needs to walk directly at the judge. Pick a spot to the judge's right for you to aim for, to keep yourself in line. The horse needs to stop exactly in front of the judge, but don't get so close that the judge would ever feel they need to step back. Leave enough space that you can cross in front of your horse comfortably.

What I've been told is to stop atleast an arms length away.. giving you enough for you to cross infront of your horse.
