Question for you guys..

When I get a Comfy Fit sliding Back band, should I get the open tugs like on my Zilco or the Quick release tugs to use on the Hyper Bike?

Now I have to admit I have never used the quick release tugs.

So what do you use and why?

I like the quick release tugs, if you need them, they are there, if you don't, then don't.

I am having a set of marathon shafts made for one of my carts, so will need them for that one for sure, but I also find them useful for my G & S Trail cart, as the shafts are nice and large, and have a sight outward curve to them which makes using the quick release so much easier then having to poke the shaft in and out.

I love my sliding backband saddles and have trouble going back to fixed tug straps. Quick-release tug loops are awesome and almost mandatory for close-ended marathon shafts but I did find when trying to hitch Turbo to new non-marathon carts for the first time that they are a pain in the rear. Every time you undo the buckle in order to move the tugs up or down a notch, the loop opens and frees the shaft! That puts all the weight of the shaft on the other tug loop, which then tries to drop and pull the sliding backband through the saddle. I think once you have everything adjusted at the right height they would be fine but since you don't need them with the Hyperbike, or in fact any vehicle without closed shaft loops, why spend the extra money? I'd stick with open tugs instead, especially on a sliding backband.

If you ever switch to a vehicle with marathon shafts, it's a two-second process to remove the open tugs and buckle on a set of quick-release ones.

Another Question for you guys...

Where to find a shorter whip? The dressage whips I use are too long!

I special-ordered mine from the Ultralite whip company as I needed one with a lash I could use for training dressage.
