We are back from the World Show. I can not believe that we were down there for 10 days, plus 4 days of traveling. I AM DRAGGING MY BUTT!!

It was so much fun to see everyone, but time went by so fast!!

I never had much time to watch the show; was clipping, bathing. shaving. I had a horse in the Auction. She needed to be clipped, bathed, tail and mane dyed and face shaved.

A weanling had to have the same treatment, then my yearling filly, then my yearling colt. UGH!!!

I want to say CONGRATULATIONS to Barb Nelson on her AMHA Reserve World Champion: Riverdance's Monarch Surprise. Way to go Barb!! This was Barb's first AMHA World Show.

My yearling filly took 7th in futurity.

NOW FOR MY BIG NEWS:

Riverdance Scouts Black Tie Affair took an AMHA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

,as well as a 3rd in futurity. He was also just out of the ribbons in Amateur Level 2. (My fault he did not do better, but then there were over 20+ horses in the class, so I can not complain).

I have shown dogs for over 35 years, and I am having a heck of a time learning how to set a horse up right, or condition it right. I keep wanting to set them up too much under themselves (like you do a dog) or parked out like a rocking horse. :arg! One of these days I will get it right, (though I kind of did, finially for his World Championship.). But, like with my dogs (who were all owner handled to their Championships), I want to do it all myself. Train, groom and show. (or drop dead trying)

Pictures will be coming. They say about a week or so after the show.

Such fantastic wins! I was so excited to hear "Riverdance" on the live feed--but I bet nothing like you were. Congratulations!

Congratulations Sue - I read about your wins and knew you would be thrilled (who wouldn't be!!!). It must be an awesome feeling knowing you have done it all yourself.

I am the same way - I want to do it all on my own - and have the same problem with showing my horses like I did my Best In Show Old English Sheepdogs - and it just doesn't quite work the same!!!!

Way To Go - big pat on the back for you and your beautiful horses!!!!!

Congrats on your wins! I was able watch one online, your big win with your gorgeous black colt, stunning!!

Thank you all on your nice complements. I am still on cloud nine. Laying low today to recuperate.

I can not wait to start with the youngsters for next year. I have a full brother to Affair who is a palomino. Another nice palomino who is a 1/2 brother to Affair. Billy , my buck skin colt who I am crazy about, and two weanling fillies. Now who to choose from to show next year.

When the Liz pictures are available of Affair, Willow and Barb's horse Prize, I will share them with you all.
