My sister's cart was stomped by a rampaging large horse several weeks ago. One wheel was smashed like an aluminum can. So she decided to order the solid rubber, large spoked wheels instead of replacing with the bicycle-tube type.
She's been out with the cart a few times and certainly noticed the more "sporty" feel of the ride! Today we drove on dirt roads for the first time since she's had the new wheels, and she could discern her horse having to work harder.
This is our first actual experience with the solid, heavy spoked wheels. (They look very good on the Jerald runabout!)
Is there something about maintainance she should know? Adjustment or lubrication?
