This quilt was made for me by chandab. I saw another one she had made, and I really really liked the pattern. I asked if she could replicate that pattern, in colors that would match our new walls. I had just purchased a buggy bench that would go in our new home (this was before we moved), and thought a quilt with colors that would go with the yellow paint on our walls would be pretty. I love yellows and golds and purples together. The corner where this new bench was going, is kind of dark, and I thought the quilt would brighten it up a little.

Well, my quilt came today, and it was better than I had hoped for..........it's beautiful, and Chanda did an amazing job! I'm so happy with it, and I can't thank her enough for her hard work.

Quilts are wonderful. Beautiful to look at, and so warm. My preference of any type of blanket is a quilt.

My grandmother left behind several. She was a "homespun" type quilter, and not very sure of her design and color capabilities, but those quilts are love to me, and curling up under one is like having her there, a hug from her, though she's been gone 12 years...

you are lucky to have such a beautiful thing, my grandma would have approved of its beauty, but I know it looks pretty comfy, too. Kitties agree.
