I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who phoned or emailed me today. This forum has been a great comfort. I had to have my Bambi (my wolf x shepard) put to sleep this morning, she was 17 yrs old, and I have had since she was 6 weeks. It was so hard to do, but I know in my heart she is now at peace and not suffering anymore. Jane, in your email you said "it is knowing that it is not forever" . I hope everyone on this forum who has lost a freind or pet keep those words in mind. It has really helped. Thanks again everyone. Corinne

Oh my gosh Corinne - I AM SO SORRY - I had no idea. Oh geez, here come the tears...you know she is in better place - please take care, hugs, Lori

Don't know how I missed that but I just went throught that myself. My little Cricket was also 17 and had her since 5 weeks old. My heartfelt condolences.

Time helps but no one expects it to go away so grieve when you need to.

Hugs and arms around you,

Maxine

My thoughts are with you tonight. I too have lost my best friends in years past, and know the heartache.

"it is knowing that it is not forever"
I like to think that too.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog passing. As much as it hurts us to part with our beloved animals; I can't imagine life without that special joy they bring. My heart goes out to you. I still find myself grieving for my little Jack Russel I had to put down last year at age 15.

I'm sorry you had to let your Bambi go, I know the pain and it's a terrible thing to go through. Even when you know it is the best for your dog, it still hurts. Hugs to you.
