Was in the bookstore tonight to get the 5th book by Charlaine Harris (True Blood author) and saw The Shack. I read a review somewhere that said that this is a MUST READ! I'm excited to start it. Anyone here read it and can vouch for it (or not...).

Yep....read it and couldn't put it down..... A couple of weeks ago, I heard the author talk about how he came to write the book (he's from my hometown here). What an awesome guy; he had an amazing personal story. Apparently he wrote the book for his children, intending to make 15 copies to give to family only, and then the word got out and suddenly it's this huge must-read.

Well Matt. I read it, bought it, the local pastor decided to do 3 weeks of a dramatic read from it. The community is of mixed feeling but ya know what, they're talking about it. Pretty cool eh? It is difficult to get thru the beginning, tears your heart BUT then....pure beauty even for those of unsure faith...a rose by any other name...you know.

My friend told me it is a must read, so i am gonna get it from her, I cant wait...
