We brought our little dog in yesterday to be put to everlasting sleep. He was my husband’s first dog and was a gift from his natural mother (David was adopted and found her when he was 22) a year after we were married. Tonka was 13. Tonka went across the country and back again with us. We were hoping to get him back to California one last time, but it was not to be. We will be taking his ashes with us to CA next week to be sprinkled on the hill behind David’s mother’s house. Tonka was born there and he still has one sister still living with her.

Tonka will be dearly missed.

{{{{{{hugs}}}}}} for all of you. I know it hurts to loose a furry family member.

((((HUGS)))) to you and your husband! It's so hard to let one of our little hairy family members go, but such a blessing that we have the ability to.

{{{hugs}}}

the best way to honor the beloved pet you lost is to offer his spot in your home to another animal in need of a good home. he will never lose his spot in your heart and you will have the opportunity for another lifetime of devoted companionship...
