Jody, I passed the breakfast invite along to Kay this morning. Sounds like a winner to me!

Liz, that was amazing that he wasn't injured! I do like my Fords for that particular reason. They are built well. Ron's son had a new Chevy truck and the bed just started rusting out for no apparent reason so I am a no for a chevy.

Liz M ~ that's pretty freakin imressive . So Ford is obviously safe for my precious cargo.

" where else can a pack of women go to discuss trucks

That's exactly why I'm here

: I wanted input from "the girls" before some fasting talking salesman talked me into somthing I wouldn't be happy with.

I really don't want all the bling, bling, just something safe, that tows and stops well, and has 4 doors.

Hey Fed ~ don't hold back ... tell us how you REALLY feel :new_rofl:

Fran and Kay, it needs to be lunch, not breakfast since I will be on lone feeding duty. It takes an hour just to break out the water buckets. There are 13 of those puppies, all solid popsicles in this weather. It was -12f this morning when I left for work at 6am! :new_shocked:

sounds good to me! just let us know where and what time

Fran, what happened to your truck? I LOVED that truck, it was beautiful. We could always spot you guys at the horse shows, the big yellow truck kind of stuck out. We were driving down the road at Ashland and i looked over and seen a big yellow truck at Dennys and was like "I've found kay and fran" LOL.

Your driving a dodge charger??? I would not be complaining if i were you, i'm tempted to go test drive one of them just for fun :bgrin

I will prob be getting a truck here shortly, i'm trading in my 2000 grand am' i believe, to many problems with it (not saying i go easy on the poor car or anything lol) for a truck. I'm thinking of going with a dodge or Dodge ...my parents have a F150 and i hate it. My dad has a F250 now and its okay. I like the dodge look better. My brother has a 06' Ford Harley Davison Truck and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm not actually sure yet what kind of truck i want, i want something that will last and can pull good ..i wouldnt mind it being loud and fast either

Ahh i dont know, so many choices.

Leanna, two weeks ago last Saturday some young man ran a red light clipping us on the passengers back quarter panel. That sent us sideways and into a small concrete wall with a chain link fence and into another F150. The poor girl is totalled. Actually it was on Kay's birthday. I am just happy no one was hurt. It's all material. You can have those Dodge Chargers!!! LOL They are awful and no use when the roads are bad. If you can't put hay and shavings in it I don't want it. LOL

Here is what the front ended up looking like on my truck. I never did take a picture of the back quarter panel. But the passenger's side rear sits way up in the air and the frame got twisted. The tire actually sits flat on the ground but they took it off the truck and the tire parked itself under the fender.

F 250 or F 350 ALL the way!!!!!!!!! My husbands company has all Fords for their small trucks and so does both his bosses. Alot of our friends have had one and so did we for a while (long story). We loved ours and I hate not having it now. Maybe agian some day. They tow nicely nad the new ones already have an electric brake system in them. So no extra $$$ putting one in.

I have to say here we are Ford all the way! We currently have 4 F250's. A 92 with 160,000 miles. 96 with 140,000, a 2000 that I use every day with 99,500 miles and Dads 2005 with 30,000. We had several before these as well. Most of the miles have been hauling our 24' gooseneck trailer with either hogs or cattle. We usually gross wt about 20-24,000 lbs. loaded. The older trucks had 460 gas engines and the 2 newest are the V-10 gas. All have Auto transmissions. The only repairs we have has been brakes on these. Electric brakes on our trailer are not as good as they should be so we tend to wear out front brakes. We order all the trucks from the dealer spec'd out exactly as we want. For several years we took cattle and kids to the Junior National Charolais shows around the country. Most years Fords made up 2/3 to 3/4 of all the trucks at the show. Usually there were 150+ trucks with trailers there from all over the country.

EDITED: the new brake controlers with the tow package are way better than the add on's we used to buy.

We are Ford people too, my Dad has a F150 now. We are going to get another truck,

hoping this year. And we want either F250 or F350. I want to later get some big horses

again. So will most likely get the F350. Sounds like from reading here most people on

here are Ford people.

I wil say this, I had Chevy, put several transmissions in it. The week I paid it, and had

just got it out of shop for a new transmission, it was totaled. Later we bought 2 dodge

trucks, the first one we put a transmission in it. Then later the transmission caught on

fire, that was it. It was gone. The second one, we put a new transmission in it. I took it

to work at Marriott, and came out. Someone had stolen it. Oh by the way, when you are

a guest at a hotel, watch your trucks, they are the number one to be stolen. Our hotel had

security, they did not know till I told them it was gone.

We love our Ford truck. It pulls my small stock trailer okay. We don't pull it often.

But we will get us another Ford, just have to decide on the F250 or F350.
