I agree - plenty of good food and exercise just the same as with big horses.

As with people or any animal... Diet and exercise. All-around health and fitness will affect the whole body, from neck to tummy. The "tummy" is affected by both the topline and underline. If you can see ribs at all while your horse is standing, they need more calories. If you can see spine (topline) they need more protein in their diet is a good rule of thumb to start with. Muscles on the topline will help pull the belly up.

My Horses Diet is 2 cups of Beet Pulp, 1/2 cup of sweet feed and 1 pound of alfalfa hay, twice a day. What could I add to the diet to help? Also what exercises work best?

How big is your mini? How tall? Barely 3# of feed daily doesn't seem like much feed, unless your mini is very small. [is that 2 cups dry or wet beet pulp?]

My smallest mini eats more than that, he's 31" tall, and weighs 175#; he gets 1.5# senior feed and 2-3# hay daily (he doesn't always eat all his hay, but usually eats most of it).
