Miniature horse to be registered as a Brindle with AMHA and AMHR. Just got her AMHR papers back today. She is registered as a Smokey Black BRINDLE Roan.

The Brindle Association wants to register her too( they have just contacted me too), it will be their first registered Brindle Miniature horse.

So..... Marbles will be tripled registered.

She is doing fine and is fat, sassy and hairy!

I just love that horse. Many congratulations for being the first brindle! What a distinction. Now, when can I get a brindle baby? lol Speaking of which, color wise, what can you breed her to that will provide the largest chance of reproducing the color? I know absolutely nothing about color breeding. All of the x,y,z's of it just make my brain hurt. lol

I was told by the University of California Davis, that I should breed her back to her sire to get the greatest chance of getting a brindle.

Can we have some recent photos of the celebrity girl?

I live in Minnesota, she is VERY hairy, not much to see. But, I will be bringing her inside the barn in another month along with some others and I will be shaving their head, necks and bodies down sometime in Mid to late March. I will get some updated pictures for you all then.

Im curious, does her winter coat show the distinct brindle marking too? I know noone likes to take pictures of their horses in their woolies, but it would be neat to see.

Yes, it still shows the markings, but it is harder to see with all the long hair. When one parts the hair to the side, you can see all of the strips in the long hair. Not sure if it would show up in a photo though. I will try and get some shots and see if it shows up in the photos.

I love her too. Those who have not seen her in person are missing a real treat. The pictures don't begin to show how pretty she is! Seriously, if you have time when it gets nice out and the winter woolies are gone, those of you who can should try to see her in person, she is incredible!

What an awesome honor! It makes little Marbles even more special then ever.

I had to go on your website and check this little gorgeous filly out, again!

Seems a person never tires of looking at her unusual color and markings.
