For those of you that cant get the picture...it is indians and settlers RIDING and driving minis to a full sized stage coach, grown men army and indiands riding horses where their feet are dragging!!!! Putting their full wt on these minis and asking them to trot!

I'm trying to watch it to see the last frame with the information about it

Well im betting anything that most of this was computer made and not actually happening for the commercial

Okay, everyone STOP. Stop the commercial and go frame by frame. Notice how no "rider" has their full weight on any of those horses at any time. Also notice that the size of the wagon is in proportion to the horses in the background of the close up shot. To be honest, I bet the wagon is nothing more than a lightweight studio prop and horses are probably not even pulling it. When the wagon looks huge in proportion to the horses in the distance you can bet that scene is computer enhanced. It may not be great publicity for the breed but I doubt it's going to make anyone go out and buy a Mini to ride it if they're too big for one. If they do, they are morons and I'm going to say they more than likely would have done so anyway, without seeing the commercial.

Not amusing in the least no matter how they made that. But in some frames it really does look like there is the adults weight on the minis back no matter how many times l looked..

I played it several times and you CAN see where some of the riders have both feet off the ground at some point. Not sure what the commercial is supposed to be for, but I wasn't amused.

Can you actually see both feet off the ground in those frames or are you assuming the other foot isn't on the ground? I went through the entire commercial frame by frame three times before posting and noted several places where someone would probably assume those horses were being ridden for a step or two. I know there are laws in place to protect animals in films from being harmed and I'm sure they apply to advertising, as well, or some group such as PETA would already be all over this one. I wouldn't doubt there were people on site as this was being produced to be sure none of those little horses suffered.

Honestly, there are a lot of unamusing ads out there. Some that I find funny probably irk the heck out of others out there and visa versa. I just hope no Indians were harmed in the making of this commercial...

Just plain STUPID...

Are they that hard up for "funny" material???

Btw..I stopped it on several frames and did see riders with both feet off the ground.

It is a comercial for a high speed internet. The company name in the last frame is Cegetel and when googled apears to be a company based in France.

I couldn't get it to play on my slow dial-up. I just get a picture of a stagecoach in the background and bits of music.

I think it is great!

If you look closely, the men are shuffling their feet along with the horses. Someone obviously told the actors not to keep their full weight constantly on them.

They don't look like the more fragile Arabian type minis either. Tho horses can handle a weight on them for just a little bit. If they couldn't, they wouldn't be able to breed, now would they?

I've watched it several times and I think it would make a good super bowl break commercial! :bgrin

And besides the camera angle and everything also has to be considered..hey they can make almost ANYTHING Look Real...That is what TV and the movies are all about making something that is either dangerous, impossible, or just plain not believable,,, Believable...Cool...

wel i thought it was cute and thought people were being silly when is aw the men walking ontop of the ponies (to look like riding) but there was one instance i noticed clearly where one of the Indians is tryign to get the "pony" to go and is pushing hard with his seat and the pony's back is going up and down ...that bothered me. if they were jsut walking ontop of the ponies that's one thing.
