Hey Mona, Tonto's standing here looking at me to go out for a spin :DOH! and it's - 30c out, so no way I'm going out

even the diesel had fun starting!

LOL!! I don't blame you one bit!!

No, -72 is definately not a normal! It was probably only that temp for a second or a few seconds while the gust came and went. It is common to get -20 to -40 below for a week or 2 at a time here and there throughout the winters, but thank goodness it is not constant! It's when the HIGHS every day are 20-40 below that it starts getting to you!

Today it warmed up to about +2F and less wind, so it felt MUCH better!

I really HATE the heat! I would be happy if summer never brought temps of over 75 with 70 much more to my liking.

Oh, and Al, we just had our heating fuel filled...was about 6 weeks worth since the last fill, and just under $1000!!! ($979 something)

We really need to winterize this house better, as sooooo much is wasted heat!

Mona have you hear of SunHeat? Its a new thing you buy like a Heater, you plug it in and it warms your house. I think it is $500 to warm 700 sq feet or something.

My friends have 2 of them and they havent run their furnace AT ALL, all winter! I asked how much their electric bill went up from using the SunHeat and they said $20 a month!

She is so excited , they have saved so much money this winter. I think they paid $350 for 1 and $450 for the other. So they have $800 in 2 of them, and she said their heat bill would have been that in 2 months to 2 1/2 months normally...

I think Eden Pure is another name for them too?? You can go online and look them up...

We want to get 1 or 2 for next winter, so i am hoping they will maybe go cheaper soon as spring is coming, but even if they dont
