Of coarse Mitzy dog is scared to death of it. Had to drag her out to go potty as she wasnt gonna step in that dreaded white snow drift in the door way.

She is also asking santa for a doggy sweater as shes a bit chilly out there.

Hi Ashley, we got it on this side of the state too, and its suppose to snow all day. A little north of us they got almost 1 foot, and some of the schools are closed. My horses are LOVING it and playing out in it. Roads are really slick here too. Corinne

I'm so excited to serve up warm beet pulp/grain to my babies....it's soaking right now!

Hey, Ashley, I had an opportunity to talk with your Aunt Diana yesterday. She's a very nice lady!

it's a 4-letter word!!! Oh it's ok if you can stay in the house with a quilt & a dog on the couch, drinking hot chocolate & reading (me, not the dog!) -- but OTHERWISE, no thanks. Hope you enjoy it tho!

We don't miss the SNOW, (dealt with it for 40+ years being from Northern Jersey ) we love the White Sand instead

But wish everyone a safe couple of months who has to deal with it!

Well I love the snow.

I went to Florida for a week last Feb. While it was nice, I was glad to come home at the end of the week. and yes I came home just after a big snow storm hit.

give me snow over hot sunny weather anyday.

Now, my personality and moods would rather have the hot sun then the snow. But we try to make a deal for those few months, which usally equals the tanning bed.

Being a native of Southern California, at the edge of the desert, I couldn't take the heat, so I moved into the San Bernardino mountains....Lake Arrowhead!

Living in NE Wisconsin, I enjoy the change of seasons and cooler temps. Besides, after living on 25 acres, as opposed to the population density in So California and all the police sirens/helicopters, life is peaceful. Putting on an extra layer of clothes is a trade-off worth making!

Hey, Ashley, thanks for mentioning the tanning bed issue. I heard they work on the onset of mood swings with shorter days.

Yep they do, and they help ALOT with winter depression.

Im not a tanning bed fan at all, and do all it takes to keep me from freaking out when in them. But for the sake of my sanity and well everybody elses around me

the tanning beds are a must for me.

Expecting some snow here starting tonight into tomorrow here too. Last I heard between 3-6 inches of it. I don't mind a little snow just not a lot of it! LOL

Now I truly know that we're ready for winter.....bring it on!

During the summer, husband was business travelling 80-90% of the time. Well, getting the pastures, lean-tos, grain buckets on the fence, mended fences fell upon David (our 10 year old son) and I. That said, we set ourselves up for winter they way it's comfortable for us! Turns out, my skeptical husband is quite pleased with our work! HA!

Well, the storm has picked up and I must say that beet pulping the horses and pitchin hay took 1/4 the time as last year!
