Well I was going through some of my pictures today and just wanted to share this wonderful day (now mind you this was 5years ago) We had pics taken with my horse Jazz (which I no longer own I do miss her).

Anyway I would love to see wedding pics with your animals if anyone has any done.

She was soo good, being only two. She was a Arab/Canadian and was to be my dressage horse until disaster struck. I really loved this mare.

The pictures of you are beautiful. My friend got some pictures taken of herself and her husband on their Frisians. They were beautiful and in black and white photos the dress and the horses color (black) made it so mystical. I wish I had one of the pictures to share.

Yes I quess I should explain what happend to this mare,

I had raised this mare sense she was a foal. I worked with Jazz everyday for

4years and never not once pushed this mare in anyway. I was riding her one day when she was off big time, well to make a long story short it ended up being her stifles. I took her to the best horse vet, he did everything for her and costed me a fortune, but not even surgery would have saved her stifles. She was to just be a pleasure horse and thats all!! So I took her home and was really unsure what to do. I could not afford to keep two horses and I really had to decide if dressage is what I wanted to pursue. So I did decide to keep her and forget my dressage career. Well one day I had an angel at my door wanting to see if she could pet my horse. Well about a month later her new owner was taking her home, this was very hard for me to do but the lady just wanted a pet and casual ride. She was perferct!!! SHe has a wonderful home, but I really do miss her she was the sweetest mare ever.

I am not yet married- nor will I be for atleast 5-10 years(I have alot of schooling planed) but when I do I plan to be in a cart pulled by either 2 clydesdales, or 2 Gypsy Vanners or a few minis - same for my prom in 2 years

Wow thats cool, Im getting married in March next year and my photographer is a really quirky one anyway, but she is also a mini and horse owner so she wanted to do some quirky shots with my horses as I'll be getting ready out at our farm.. I guess I'll have someone out there braiding my TB's mane and quarter marking him...

I did that for an old 4-H friend of mine. She'd already chosen her bridesmaids and didn't have a role left for me but she told me I was the only one she trusted to get her horse ready for the wedding pictures. Sadly, that meant more to me than being a bridesmaid! LOL. All THEY had to do was put on a dress and look pretty; I had to bathe and clip and lunge and saddle and have all ready in time for the photographer and then unsaddle and blanket and turn-out and get changed for the wedding myself. Being as her horse was 50% white, 16hh, and straight out of the muddy pasture, it took me three hours to get him ready for two minutes in front of the camera. LOL Still, it was a great memory.

I'm new to the forum and haven't quite mastered posting photos. When I got married I had my photos done at a friends garden. Beside me in every one of those photos was my best friend, a German Shepherd and her companion, Buford T. Justice - a maltese. Both are gone to Doggie Heaven now but I have my photos. I put ribbons around their neck instead of collars and it was so cute. If I did it again, I would use fresh flower collars. My German Shepherd was very well trained, if the grounds my wedding actually took place at allowed animals, she would have been my ring bearer.

Buford would have followed nipping at her heels.

Didn't own equines until a year after marriage.

Currently working with a young local artist to do a portrait of my QH mare centered on the portrait and all the other equines around her...kinda like those baby portraits.

Beautiful pictures and lovely memories for you now that you no longer have her.

We were married New Year's Eve 1983, and some wonderful friends drove us from the church to the country club with their team of imported Frisian mares. It was 17 degrees out!! I was in such a "glow" I never felt it!
