I love this forum!! :aktion033: I have learned so much in the year I've been a member. I have shared peoples sorrow and happiness, I felt their pain and smiles.

This is a family....... and families do bicker now and then. But families forgive too. There are so many amazing people here, male-female old-young it's amazing.

Now as I await the birth of my first foal in June, I can be prepared. And that's a comfort.

Knowledge is a powerful thing and this forum is full of it for everyone.

Lee

P.S.

where else can we talk about our minis without people rolling their eyes like we're crazy!

Ya know, I've been on the Forum for gosh, close to 7 years I think...way back when it was just a simple little message board. Before we started crashing it on a regular basis~LOL

Forum uproars and snit fits (some for very good reason) come and go, but the heart of the Forum will always be here, people who care and people you can count on. That's it, plain and simple.

I have met people as part of this Forum who will always be part of my life, minis or no minis (perish the thought!). Some I have never met in person, some I've seen once or twice and some who are as close as family...and just like friends and family we are GOING to squabble and fight, do stupid things and say things we regret. As long as we can get past it, act like grownups, LISTEN to each other and say I'm sorry occasionally, we'll be fine

I remembr waayyyy back about 8 yrs. ago my little Manny was a baby and I had wormed him and darn plunger slipped...got a call into my vet and as I stood around waiting, checking up on him every so often while hubby sat in the barn with him, people on the forum were very kind and offered their same experiences, so I did'nt feel like such a bad, bad horse mommy. I also remember when he was sick and Hosscrazy sent me my first online get well card for him...that was just so special and I'll never forget how warm it made me feel! I have made and met many good people from this forum, whom I never would have probably otherwise. So much information people are willing to share. I have also noticed how alot of the "oldtimers" disagree, yet don't form grudges...which I think is just awesome.

I have had the opportunity to have my own driving horse, one discipline I had never been able to pursue out of all the other ones I have done in my lifetime. I keep coming back for the learning aspect, because you just never stop learning, and the wonderful friends I have on here......sharing pictures, good times, trying times and one major thing in common...miniature horses.....and puppies!!!

I most certainly love this board.

I am a member of the youth commitee

I get to help people

I get to be helped by some of THE smartest people in the industry.

I just all around love this board.

I even made quite a few friends, including one, Frizzles_Gal that I got to meet in person and MiniSeasons that we are planning to see each other sometime over the summer.

THANK YOU MARY LOU!

Kari doesn't post here much anymore, but she showed me how to find this board in May of 1997, right before my filly Cherry Bomb was born.

And I've been here ever since!

I am pretty sure I met Kim and her family here (I can't remember for sure, *LOL* that's horrible) but I don't know where else I woulda met 'em 'cept at some show or something. hee hee. They are like family to us, even better because we didn't have to put up with each other growing up. ;) And we're STILL immature!

I have met some really great people on here, and a lot of the people I know in real life come here and post, too, so it works both ways. I tell people about this board because I think it's a great resource.

We all come and share our information about the little horses we love, but there are a lot of great benefits of making new friendships as well.

I will say it was pretty exciting to attend the gathering at the pizza place in Portland at the AMHA convention where I really got to add to my roster of "have mets." It was like being "here" but with everyone really there!

No matter the bad times we go through here, the good FAR outweighs the bad and I do really appreciate all the work that goes into managing this site for us to take for granted.

Awww...*group hug*!

I have found this forum to be full of really neat people. Even when people get flamed it's usually in the best interest of the horse. It's nice to "meet" a group of people who really care about the welfare of their(and everyone else's) animals and who are seriously trying to promote and improve miniature horses as a breed. I have learned so much from this forum and even when things get a little hot I learn from that too.
