What color is this colt? Maximum White? Genetics?

Sorry rabbitsfizz..another poster did say they had to be homozygous to be max white sabino..the OPs foals dam looks to me to be splash all the way...but with the sire being tobiano...id think her foal is just like mo..possibly black and splash from the dam..and tobiano patternes from the sire.

The DW line in Arabians goes to R Khasper. They have pink skin just like any other white pattern - here's a son of R Khasper who was part of the study that isolated this line's DW gene - http://www.tamarsventures.com/Design.html The DW's do sometimes have blue eyes.

The sire (if it is that blazed faced red pinto with blue eyes in the OP) is Not all only Tobiano. He is also Splash! His blaze and blue eyes are Splash. I say the white colt got Splash from both parents and is Max Splash.

A max Splash can carry Tobiano as well. (Is that right Jane?)

I believe that's correct, Reo. The KIT gene controls tobiano, roan, DW, and sabino. Not splash that i'm aware of.
