I am trying to learn the name of these things so I can look for one for my Mom. I have seen many, but havn't a clue what they are actually called.

They are made of small sticks of wood, that are all glued together in a spiral fashion, and are painted, and hung outside, so when it catches the wind, it spins, and looks pretty. I would like to do a search on the net, but need a name to search for.

I sure hope you guys can answer this one for me!! Thank you!

Not sure if you are talking about Wind Chimes, Whirly Gigs, or Dream Catchers!

My Dad used to make them. We still have a couple here that he made. He gave a lot away to friends.

Thanks everyone! Sterling, you were right...those are the things I was looking for, but I was hoping to find soemthing more colorful, rather than a solid color. Tifflunn, never even heard of that store!! No malls for over 100 miles around here. LOL.

Mona you could order it unfinished (un-painted) and paint a design on it yourself.

They are pretty, my father gave me one with a Cardinal painted on it.

The store tifflunn is talking about is full of all of those gadgets that are advertized on TV even the ones that are supposed to be only available on TV.
