Since my Dad has moved in with me, I have been feeding the wild birds on my deck right outside the kitchen instead of the back yard. This way my Dad can see them through the sliding glass doors, and enjoy them. He can't go outside anymore except to the Drs. Maybe as it cools off a bit I can help him to go sit on the deck.

There is a bird that comes every day. Smaller than a cardinal, kind of grey and brown, not colorful. But he has a crest almost like a cardinal. We are curious as to what he is. Do you know?

Also do you have a favorite web site as reference?

The baby turkeys are grown now and have moved on, but it was fun watching them grow and seeing my Dad enjoy them.

Thanks so much!

Robin

Robin, I was thinking maybe a female cardinal.

Here is a site that I love to use! Just put in your zipcode and it narrows down the birds that are in your area.

www.enature.com

Let us know what you find out from this site.

The first bird I thought of was a cedar waxwing.

Is this him?

Thank you ALL!!!! I looked up those sites and kept them as favorites, I am really enjoying them.

It is a Tufted Titmouse!!!!! It is so pretty!! Now the cardinals are coming too! Watching them at the feeders is fun!

Thanks again!
