O doubt if any of us do something for another person , just because. I think we do what we do because it makes us feel good ..maybe even more so than the receiver.

Well I have always believed in helping people, no matter where or what they were doing. I always love to help the elderly at the store and I have often bought down on their luck beggars lunch. You can always tell a true beggar from a fake that just wants money. San Antonio is just full of them.

A few years ago, we had bought a new house and had the old 14X60 mobile home still on the property from when we were just starting up Southern Heart. It wasn’t anything fancy and we had it up for sale. But in the meantime we heard of this families house burned down and had nothing not even insurance….I can’t imagine people not having insurance, but well they didn’t for reasons beyond me.

Having gone threw a house fire my self back in the 70s, I knew they were having no picnic so I thought and my hubby agreed, what a great idea to just give the house to the people. We didn’t want it anymore and it served its purpose. So if they moved it they could have it.

These people were so delighted and it really warmed my heart to know that they were not down and out anymore.

I’m just an old softy I guess. But I really love helping people in need. If I can.
