What makes Diego so special?

The fact that whenever I shout "D" he nickers and comes running over to the fence. When I tiptoe towards the barn around supper time I hear him call for me. How he has this personality where he just cannot stop showing off and impressing me.

He truly is my boy!

Well, I was anticipating my stallion before he was born, and I had that special feeling... So as soon as he hit the ground I knew I had to get him... Oh, I will let the pictures do the talking....

Well bravo everyone,I love all your guys,ok time for my two! :aktion033:

First is Samuels Just Do It,we just purchased him a couple months ago,and this is the only picture I have of him on the computer! He is right under 30" tall, and is the SMARTEST horse I believe I have seen! We are getting him ready to show later this year in Halter,Color,Liberty, and hopefully Halter Obstacle, and maybe Hunter, would love to do driving but I don't think he will be tall enough,he has nice movement.

and then there is my favorite boy in the WHOLE world!!! I am also getting him ready to show this year in Halter,Color, and some other events! This is Sequioa Rowdy's Mahogany Star, and just as I was about to geld this guy, here come his first foal, and I was in AWE! No more gelding thoughts for me! Only reason why I'd thought about doing it was he is 34" tall, and I like my studs smaller, also gotta get a better picture of him,I am ashamed I haven't already done this,oh yes he is a double Rowdy grandson, and related to LTD's Magic Man,that ought to say something right there!!!

Margie loves MarJacs Dressed to Impress because He throws Fillies (only one colt!) He is gentle to handle and very loving and all the mares just love him - he's a gentleman when the time comes!

Here he is and some of his fillies:

Wow guys! This thread turned out to be popular! :aktion033: Everyone has great looking boys and wonderful things to say about them. I don't have a stallion, but if I did I would think he was special because he was good enough to keep his family jewels and be mine!!

Well I can say with certainy that "Tom A Hawk" always stood out in a crowd !! I remember the first time I saw him at the Jandts farm we were just getting started in the minis and out of 75 horses there I just kept going back to him.....but to my dismay Joe was asking more than I could aford  then it must have been a year later Joe was having a dispersal sale and guess who was in that sale
default_yes.gif
: thats right TOM so the rest is history......Tom was 6 years old when he started his show career and we never looked back 3 years later with limited showing he was awarded the Hall of Fame :aktion033: I do love this horse and he will take his last breath here

I'll ask Margie today when I am up there - I'm not sure of her full name.

My stallion Coyote Winds Knockout has been a dream come true. I bought him in February 2005 as when I saw his photo I fell in love. I had not planned to buy a stallion but this boy is just amazing. He has been shown at local fairs and shows and has done very well being named Grand Champion Stallion in halter overall other breeds. Everyone who sees him loves him. He is so quiet but when he goes in the barn he lets his mares know he is there. He pasture bred one mare last year and teh foal is due in July/August. He has already hand bred one mare this season, has 4 more mares to breed. One is a grade pony that I do not own. The lady who owns her phoned to see if I was standing my stallion to outside mares as she saw him at a fair. THis stallion is so smart and he alwasy comes running to teh gate when he hears or sees me. He is so smart. He just turned 3 yesterday. I plan to train him to drive and i can hardly wait. THis boy has a home for life with me.

C Spots Justin Falabella is one of our two stallions and he's special to me
default_smile.png
I was present when he was born and raised him. He was shown as a wean and did very well AMHA but that's not really my scene so I started teaching him to drive this winter. He's three now and we had his first foal born, a filly, a few weeks ago. He's special to me because he's very sweet yet has spunk, loves to work with me and is just a fun guy. He's also very correct and is appy colored (my favorite!).

What makes my stallion special to me is : He truly was a gift from God, oh he may not be the Upheaded most araby Mini nor the most perfect in anyones eyes but mine. But he is my best friend and does anything i ask of him with out question and is always there should i need a shoulder to cry on or just a hug to make it through the day ....He may not be "A " material or even "B" material but to me he is the best, his Blue eyes tell his story for all those who darn to look " Hey I'm the One That Jen loves and that's all that matters to Me"

Our stallion Lucky Four Silvers Rebel Legacy is very special to our farm. Legacy is not only special because he is a National Grand Champion Junior Stallion or a World Top Ten Futurity Champion. But because he is outproducing himself and his sons are doing the same. Legacy is the sire to champions. All of his babies have had a show attitude about them and have been very correct. It doesn't matter what type of mare you breed to Legacy you know that it is going to be show quality foal. He has brought great things to our farm since we bought him. Not to mention he is a filly producer.

A couple of his babies:

Here is another one of our stallions that is very special. His name is Lucky Four Rebels Reno. Reno is a Supreme Halter Champion and he has 57 halter points. He is a National Top Ten Honor Roll Champion. He has produced many champions. He is continuing his father's(Sids Rebel) legacy. He is a great stallion that is bringing some great things to our farm. He

Ok, first be warned, I LOVE the boys, stallions hold a special place in my heart and we have quite a few of them, my whole life is basically devoted to our farm and the horses (I'm SO thankful for a loving husband that dotes on me and has let me have my hearts desires).

Cody was our first mini ever, he's more the old fashioned type and a grand old man, still top dog if you ask him, but such a love and the sire of some of my best girls.

Leo, what a charmer, sire of several R national champions, maternal brother to Dels Cowboy and the reason for so many of our silver buckskins here. Leo is a grand old man and can be quite the curmudgeon, just ask him, if something upsets him the ears go back and he shakes his head to let you know. (and so do his kids!)

Primetime, currently out on lease to Jody and Judy at Stonehaven, a grand boy with a reserve national championship to his name, siring great foals, a lot of pintos and a LOT of attitude to them!

Domi (Sids Dominator) a dream come true, a true "old soul" I love Sids Husker and Sids Rebel for years, didn't even know that Dominator was out there until a dear friend told me about him and that he was for sale. Domi is that lifetime horse, he communicates with me and runs the farm (much to Codys dismay!) Domi is basically a genetic full brother to both Husker and Rebel, and has sired many very nice foals including an AMHA national champion. We're expecting 6 Domi foals this year.

Tucker (Patsolics C Huskers Folly) Tucker is a Sids Husker look alike son that is my bud and a begger, we purchased him in utero and he came here with his dam at 3 weeks old, a bold little brat that is very proud and RED RED RED. He's done very well as a sire but is still my pocket pet.

BJ,(Patsolics More Bang4thebuck) our BOB son who thinks he's a full sized bucking bronco, showing off at every chance he gets. BJ is a silver buckskin with 4 socks, snip and a lower white lip, he's going to be breeding his first mares this year.

Sammy (Patsolics Magic Sam I Am) Our most refined stallion and most sensitive, a true arabian type miniature, my sensitive kid that can have his feelings hurt with one wrong word. He holds a VERY special place in my heart and his foals have been VERY refined.

Funky, our cremello brat out of a Dels Cowboy daughter and Leo, carrying the same pedigree as Landrys Cowboy Del both top and bottom. My ADD child that is a clown, chasing cats and cars, and constantly keeping me on my toes.

These are my breeding stallions, we have several young boys that are developing and will be looking for new homes in the near future, all out of the above boys.

Told you, I love the boys!

My stallion is Nick and we don't have a show record. I don't bother with shows.

He's Blue Boy bred.

His sire is Reserve National Champion Craig's Skip, but I picked him out even before I knew that.

Nick is just totally cool and he's not a high strung idiot, because trust me, I'm too old for putting up with that.

I don't believe in sacrificing disposition for a pretty face or a long neck. I need the whole package.

If you can't handle this guy, you don't need a horse because that's how sweet his nature is.

He's never caused a problem a day in his life and is no trouble to have around. He's stabled in the barn with all his mares and there's never a disturbance caused by him.

He's all stallion but he also knows how to behave himself and treat his ladies.

I can hand breed him with a rope around his neck or pasture breed him and I trust him to be sweet about it.

I always say that if you have to have a stallion around, it might as well be one that is mannered and has a brain. Nick is smart, and was easily trained and has a lot of sense. He's an athlete that moves with grace. He has a very good mind. His conformation is really nice, and he's well put together. He has now given me two foals that are even nicer than I could have hoped for. They carry his stamp of kindness and all his other nice traits.

One of mine is special because he is very gentle with the mares and i cn pick him up and carry him around in my arms. He is the most trusting horse I have met. he also is 28" tall with nice bloodlines and good conformation.

My other two stallions are very refined and have the "fire" in their eyes. They are both buckeroo grandsons and will produce some nice show horses.

I'll post on here even though things are yet to get rolling on the ball with this boy...I just have to say this new colt has been long anticipated and I have been waiting and waiting and passing on a LOT of very well put together stallions waiting for this colt to arrive...and of course he had to arrive a few weeks after I made a trade for a new stallion LOL!

For my program I was specifically looking for a colt:

- appy bred top and bottom

- refined, araby type

- few spot or snowcap

- great, appy-filled pedigree

- to mature under 36" (I Love legs!)

- loving, sweet, and gentle personality

This colt is everything I have been looking for; appy bred top and bottom and I mean LOUD appies! Sire is a gorgeous, refined, araby leopard Carousel Designer Legacy and dam is a very pretty buckskin snowcap mare, Sulphura's Apache Promise! His pedigree is solid appy for generations, he is a few spot , he is upright, very leggy, has a gorgeous dishy head, he is definitely being raised with lots of love and attention and...he's from one of my all time favorite farms, Critter Creek! (www.crittercreek.com) This boy has everything and I can't wait to bring him home!!!!! He will be my future herd sire and my show colt/stallion, I can't thank Ginny or her family enough for this colt! He matches everything i've been searching for and I feel he is going to foal some amazing foals out of my very selective appy mares when he is old enough!

IceManMay_A1sm_05.jpg

What makes our JEM Ice Man special? He's leggy, refined, big moving--he can TROT--he has a wonderful temperament & is agreeable about doing whatever we ask of him. Conformation wise, he is very nice and the really important thing there is, he is siring foals that are better than he is. He's got 4 offspring on the ground so far & each and every one of them is leggy & refined, with good conformation...and they can all MOVE. I think they can all out-move Ice Man, and that is going some. We've got 3 fillies & one colt by him so far, & we're sure hoping that filly-tendency continues! There are 3 more of his foals to come this spring & we are very anxious for them to arrive.

Ice Man wasn't putting much effort into it the day we took these, but so far these are the only action photos we've taken of him (poor quality photos, they're extracted from a video clip taken with the digital camera & it doesn't do a good job) The footing was slushy & slick that day & he was being conservative:

I know that if we had to buy a stallion to replace Ice Man, we'd be very hard pressed to find one we like as well, especially in a price range we could afford. We are grateful to Mary Ann Bartkewich for giving us the opportunity to own this stallion.

everyone's stallions are so nice. So many of them are babies. How can you tell they are going to stay a stallion at a young age? If I ever go stallion hunting, I think I will have to look in the 5 and over range. All foals look good to me!! :bgrin

Hi!

I love seeing everyone's stallions! Neat to see how close and what their stallion means to them!

Now... for my turn! My stallion "SRM Patented Barakah" is my TRUE LOVE! I saw him advertised for sale and was just "wowed" by his picture! And is breath~taking to see him in person! He just "wow's" a person!

I am very ansious and excited to show him this year! His first foal crop will be in '07. I'm just think he's just the neatest little horse!

barkah.jpg

I also "may" have a 2nd stallion! I will wait to see how he matures and see what he gets done in the show ring! But my new little guy that was born 4-4-06..... He's is just stunning! I knew the foal would be a buckskin..... out of a Sami Soap Suds and Lucky Four Apatches Amber...... This guys is just awsome! I just love his markings and is going to be dark under that tan! He is very sweet and wants to be there and see what you are doing! Just love him!! I call him "Marty".....
