I thought white out on application paperwork was a big no, no?
I've got involved in a paperwork nightmare from one person(person A) forging my name and another person filling out a application for another person ( person B) with my mares info. So now AMHA has 2 applications in the office on a filly out of my mare. Person B, I never sold the filly to and don't know her. The person A, I traded the filly to for a gelding I use to own for my grandbaby. that was a year ago. I don't know if she lost the application I give her to start with or what but what was sent to me that was her's, was a copy signed by someone other then myself. I just don't sign my name that way and I never type in registration info and print it. I always hand write it in.
The application person B sent in was filled out by someone else with my mares info on it, right stud on it and the right date of birth on it. But AMHA whited out the area of the person that fillied out the sellers info, mailed it back to person B and told them I was the owner of the mare and they needed me to sign the transfer. I told AMHA that person A had the filly and I didn't know person B. Now why would they accept a application like that? wouldn't it be void if a person filled out papers for a horse they don't own and send in?
Now I call AMHA, this is the crazy part. I explain that the one lady I never met and she couldn't have the filly because the other lady I traded with had the filly. so I asked her if they could make both do DNA and find out which person had the right filly and give them the papers. She told me DNA wouldn't prove anything or fix anything because the pics that both people sent in are of the same horse.
What in the world? Where do I begin to help fix or should I even help fix since it was a year ago? Is this crazy or what? I'm dizzy!
