Willy the wonder dog

Well Willy came home on monday night and is settling in well. Yesterday we went to visit some people who raise sheep and aussies and do herding.......they were wonderful and sacrificed their sheep to him

he took to it pretty naturally now I need to learn how to work him.......already planning on converting my round pen into a sheep proof practice area......they shared lots of pointers and gave me plenty of "homework" and told me who to go take some additional lessons from........anyway here are a couple quick pics I just snapped........

I think herding would be such a neat thing to do.

I always wanted to "do something" with my dogs; but my stepfather told me years ago...."ya gotta be smarter than the dog to teach it anything".

So, guess I'll just stick to lovin 'em.

Willy is a beauty and sounds like you will have lots of good times together.
