Our mare Curry's Saturday Night Special--aka Honey, won the Vitrolen Grooming Award at Nationals this year, they gave us a sampling of some stuff in a bag and told us more would be arriving at our house. Wow! You would not believe all the stuff that came off the delivery truck! I think it was 10 boxes of stuff, shampoo(regular, white brite, spray shampoo) shine spray, detangler, linament and spot remover. You will know we are coming up behind you at a show, all of it has a minty smell. Smells good. I can't wait to use it all, and if you know me this is sooo true. I love to groom, we have a show this weekend, going kinda hairy since I don't have an insulated barn, but it will be fun trying out some of this stuff.

Here is a picture of Honey earlier in the year, haven't got any Nationals pics yet, she does have a pretty color to her.

Congrats Terri and Chasta on winning the award. I've heard how wonderful the product was to use.

Congratulations on receiving the Vetrolin Grooming award.

Farnam gives alot of very nice products for the grooming award and we actually had won the very first year of Farnam doing this award in 2007 at the Shetland Congress out of 500 ponies with our classic shetland pony "Buckeye WCF Classical Story".

We are still using some of the items that are remaining from the award and I love the fresh minty smell with some of the products.

The representive at that time met up with us at the AMHR Nationals and took us out to dinner since there were not very many restaurants close to Gordyville when we received the award plus Farnam gave us multiple coupons for the Platform feed back then.

We had alot of press releases that were in various equine magazines and newspapers which was great advertisement as well for everyone involved.

Great Job

The Farnam representive (Renee') told us at Congress that they were going around looking at all the horses during the entire show and at the stalls for the horse "that outshined all others" .

We just had "Story" super clean all of the time with grooming ect. and they ran their hands thru his mane and tail and really checked him out from head to tail, which I have the letter from the press release on our website under Congress 2007 Page 2 that had all the details.

I don't know what all they do now for choosing the horse for the award since Renee' no longer works for Farnam. She was the blond lady that was in the RFD-TV video broadcast back then in 2007 with explaining about the Pony Congress and the classes shown.

Way to go, Terri!!!

I know how much you love to groom the horses and you do such an awesome job at it, too!!!

Honey, and all your horses, always look gorgeous in their show pictures. Your hard work really shows and you sure deserve the award!!!

Congratulations!!!

Congrats Terri & Chasta!! Way to go!!

I would say that award was well deserved as all of your horses were always "fresh as a daisy", and showed it! I know that at all times of the night or day, I could see you and Chasta going down the hallway to the wash rack! Angel always shows as much grooming as the horses! Congratulations!
