National health care. Higher standard of living. Improved international relations. Increased focus on the homefront. Improvements to our educational system-including repealing or altering NCLB. DADT repealed. Also all that stuff My-Lil-Pony posted.

Dapple Mini Doxie almost ready for girlfriend, I THINK?

    http://www.learntobreed.com is a great website.

    Need a bit recommendation

I've been ground driving Laci a lot lately, just in a halter for now. I tried the bit I have with her and she REALLY didn't like it-just a cheapie half cheek snaffle. I messed around with her mouth and she has a tiny tiny mouth with a low, low palate. I was thinking she might appreciate...

Inaugurations cost a lot of money. Maybe it could have been better spent elsewhere. In a related note, if you ate dinner last night you should be ashamed, because there are hungry people in this country who had to do without.

Of course. Erica, the total cost of Obama's inauguration is estimated to exceed $160 million. Bush's inauguration 4 years ago cost somewhere in the neighborhood to $157 million-not adjusted for inflation. A large part of that money is for security, which recession or not, I don't think we...

    Papillon or Mini/Toy Aussie Breeders

The cons of the Mini/Toy Aussie is that most people breeding them are the back yard breeder variety, meaning they aren't doing the proper health screening and testing to make sure YOU are getting a healthy puppy. I don't know much about Papillions, but I recommend you check out their club...

    Driving Breeds

Standardbreds are a great idea! I love those guys.

"Ideas for Change" - Ban Breed Specific Legislation

Properly bred pitbulls should not, and do not show human aggression. Back in the day when they were more widely used for fighting, people would stand IN THE RING with them and need to be able to grab them to break up the fight. If any of these dogs turned and bit their handler, they didn't stay...

    Driving Breeds

I would think so. They're both very stocky breeds, in general. Welsh Cobs, or if you want to go really 'fancy', Fell Ponies might be one to look into.

Fun thread to pass the time on Cold Days

Well, right now I work as an 'instructional aide', in quotation marks. Most instructional aides work alongside a teacher, aiding them, hence the name. I work in an after school program, and I teach two classes of roughly 20 students each-a 3rd grade class, and an animal science class that has...

Poll at MSNBC it just take one click

Just out of curiosity, what purpose does it serve to have this saying-or any saying-printed on our money?

    Dog people

Exactly. If you CAN do better for your dog, why wouldn't you? And I guess you can toss me in the anti-Cesar camp, too. He calls himself the Dog Whisperer and I certainly consider him the Monty Roberts of dogs-and no, that isn't a compliment for him!

    Ouija boards

I personally find it hard to believe that Milton Bradley has singlehandedly opened a portal to heck. Cast my vote for harmless, possibly dumb, toy.

Puppies - how is the market

IMO, if you're breeding for the 'market' you're doing it wrong. Unless your friend's dogs-or any dogs-have something or have done something worth reproducing, they don't need to.

    Acer Aspire

I think I mentioned it here before, but my brother and I have had terrible luck without regular Acer laptops. His is finally working 'mostly okay' after four trips back to Acer to get fixed...and I finally got a settlement paid on mine after I had to take legal action because it wasn't fixed...

How do you fix your turkey?

We did this recipe last year and it was DELICIOUS. I'll be making it again this year. It sounds a little complicated but it's really very simple and so, so good. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-b...cipe/index.html
