You shouldn't use a chain drive. You should use a belt drive so it will slip if there is a lot of tension. A chain can be very dangerous in that if the horse were to rear and fall down, it will be dragged...I know of a valuable Arabian stallion that was actually dragged to death.

But, in Jill's examples, there IS another horse in the background of two of her pictures. I guess I am just not getting this picture thing at all.

Please don't discourage people from registering with World Class. Plans are now in the making for a club and shows in Calif. There really IS a lot of interest in WCMHR and the registry is growing. There are two clubs in the east. One is in Maine (I think) and the other is in New York.
