    Does anyone know.....

They look like they could be Bend Or spots. These spots can be present at birth or show up at several years old. They are named after the Thororughbred stallion Bend Or who had the spots on his chestnut body and no one knows what causes them. They range in color from just darker than coat to...

    Nationwide shortage on Pine Shaving!

Sheryll, there is a lumber mill in Jamestown, TN that has bagged shavings..you might try going there. We use to cross the mountain to get the shavings from there. My shavings supplier just went up on prices because they said one of the main shaving supply mills had burned and caused a major...

    Colostrum collector

I didn't ever have a problem milking the mares except when expressing milk repeatedly when feeding a foal that took too long to latch on and I just felt like I might be making her sore..same reason women don't express milk by their own hands when saving their breast milk...just my feelings...

    Colostrum collector

This looks like a great product Becky. After my grandson was weaned I stole my daughters manual breast pump and I love it for my mares. It comes with little plastic bags that connect to it. I just freeze some of the collected colostrum and milk in the bags also. It seems to fit my mares just...

    Sophies coming home on Sat.

That is wonderful news Carolyn. Didn't they put her on prednisone? It makes some people very anxious and agitated..perhaps that is what has caused some of her actions.

    Update on Top Cat

Tony please know that my prayers continue for a speedy and complete recovery for that precious little guy. My hopes for you are that there will be some form of punishment for the owners of the animals for letting them be free to roam. It could have been just as easily a child that was attacked.

Got mr rego forms back today.... colour question!!??

It will cost you $50 to know if AMHA is correct. There is no genetic color test for Dun but there is for Agouti and Cream. One dominant copy of each and your horse is Buckskin. Even if he is buckskin he could still be a dun..aka dunskin. My neighbor has a quarter horse whose color looks just...
