Could mommy perhaps be a perlino (in stead of a palomino)? (It's a long shot...I know...I think both parents from her should have been smokey black pinto's if so...

Now thats a real cuttie Pattootie

Aubrey, if the dam truly is a palomino, or even cremello, it is impossible for her to carry a black gene, meaning it had to come from the foal's sire. Also, if the mare is a palomino, one or both parents must have been a smokey black, or both parents would have to be a smokey black to be a cremello.

I think your stallion's lower legs look suspect. Do you have any unclipped photos of him?

Mom and daughter are both lovely congrats whatever color she is!!!!!!!!!!!

The mares(Cotton Candy) mom was a black and white but did produce alot of palominos. Cotton Candy's sire is Luck Four Mighty Moto a bay and white pinto or black and white pinto. Cotton Candy has produced a lot of bay and whites for us. I don't know though i am like yall i don't see how it is possible for her to have a bay. Cotton Candy is like a cremello pinto but is registered as a palomino pinto and she has pink skin. We lost Cotton Candy's mom about 10 years ago. It is a possibility that her mom was a smokey black. And the baby's sire is out of a sorrel and a palomino so wouldn't it be impossible for him to be a bay. We have raised horses for 12 years and i have never been this confused on a color. Hopefully somebody can help.
