You know, sometimes something happens at a show that is just special to you...sticks with you forever. We had that happen at World this year. Our youngest daughter, Liz (Elizabeth) (the photographer one) came down for a couple of days just to watch and to help us out where she could. She's been photographing a number of miniature shows and had been saying that showing looked like fun.

Well, long story short, she ended up showing Lovee. She had never shown a miniature horse before and hadn't shown ANY kind of horse in over 15 years. She practiced with Lovee the night before and asked lots of questions and spent time bonding with Lovee. So the next day, in they go! I was so nervous for her! She did a wonderful job! Showed like a pro! AND made Top Ten! out of 20 some. Can you tell I'm a proud mom????

Can you tell I'm proud of BOTH my girls?

Thanks for letting me share.

I think you had great results all the way around! Now, I sure hope Liz doesn't take up showing instead of photographing! We need her skills there too!

I know Liz enjoyed it, Charlotte, she emailed me after she left World (she knows I check it on my phone, LOL) and said how much fun she thought it was and that she'd love to do it again. As for it being her first time, I'd say it is in the genes, LOL!

Liz did awesome!!

Charlotte,

What a wonderful experience for your family to share! I'm just glad I didn't ruin it for all of you! :DOH! See, I was in that class and actually lined up directly in front of Liz (that's my horse's butt in the first pic!) and I was so nervous that it wasn't until almost the very end of the class that I realized I was totally crowding Liz!

I was so embarrassed that I'd done that. When we retired to the wall I had a chance to apologize to her and she was so gracious about it. What a nice young lady.

I'm happy for your win.

That is very sweet of you Parmela. But actually, Liz was being crowded by the person behind her so Lovee kept moving forward forcing them into your horse. this was a situation where the ring steward should have moved the horses all apart a little as it was dangerous if a horse had started kicking. I have one picture where the horse behind Liz was somewhat beside her! I imagine all of this interfered with your horse's perfomance also. Things like this sometimes happen in the show ring and everyone just tries to make the best of it.

Thank you for being a good sport!

Charlotte

Congratulations Mom, on both of your beautiful girls!
