Does anyone know what days they are going to run what?

I have clients wanting to know when to fly in etc.

I am assuming that all will be the same except adding one day to Youth.

Does that mean that Futurity will be Sunday night and then start Ammy's Monday morning? Then when will Stallions, Mares, Geldings be? Anyone have a clue?

I sent an email to Lenard and will let all know when I get an answer but thought maybe someone else already knew.

Thanks

Just talked to Lenard Davenport to try to get some idea of the Nationals schedule so you all can make reservations, here is what I found out. It is not finalized yet but this is a good guess

Youth start on Thursday the 7th

Ammys will start on Saturday

Futurity will be Monday afternoon evening

Open starts on Tuesday with Stallions first then Mares then Geldings.

Hope this helps with scheduling. It is not written in stone yet though but a good guess.

Did Len happen to say when the entries will be mailed out? I have been trying to reach him but have not gotten a hold of him yet. I didn't attend last years due to family issues, but am bringing client horses this year...

Thanks!

SO the only real difference then is the added day for youth and everything else is really the same other then maybe Ammy starting early?

I cant wait to get the entries !!!!

As a result of an inquiry to AMHR about the show earlier today, this is the e-mail I got back.

To get the Nationals premium book, IF YOU DID NOT ATTEND LAST YEAR, please e-mail [email protected] and ask to be put on the mailing list. The book will be mailed out for delivery July 1; entries close July 19, 2006.

We will get the books here but it will be quicker to have Mr.. Davenport mail them to you.

If they are adding a day for youth, wouldn't the ammy stuff still start Sunday?

Last year amateur started Sunday morning, and the amateur jackpot classes were Sunday night (if I remember correctly) and they finished Monday, then futurity Monday afternoon and evening. Maybe the amateur performance was Saturday night? I know the ammy halter started Sunday morning though.

I'm a little confused. We flew to Tulsa last year to watch the last few days of the show. On Friday or Saturday we observed the hunter, jumper and obstacle classes. I remember Liberty had over 60 horses and it ran one afternoon while we were there. So which day will the Ammy Hunter, Jumper and Halter Obstacle classes run this year ?

I could be wrong (I am probably wrong), maybe it is showmanship that goes Saturday night, all I know is that last year the amateur halter classes started Sunday morning :bgrin

I have an old book from last year here in front of me if it helps anyone. I think basically all they are doing is adding a youth day (Thursday) where there won't be as many classes for the youth to get through - split them up between Thursday, Friday and Sat.

YOUTH -

Thursday, Friday,Sat

AMATEUR- SAT, SUN, MON

Start last classes of SAT night (only 2)

Last year for the Ammys - Sat night the last two classes after youth driving was Amateur Hunter under and overs.

Sunday started the halter classes for amateurs - Morning geldings and mares, unders and over, jr and sr. Afternoon the showmanships. That night the incentive classes and performance.

FUTURITY -MON

Monday morning - stallion ammy classes, under and overs, jr. and sr. Then monday afternoon the foal futuritys, that night the other futurities.

OPEN - Tues, Weds, Thurs, Friday, SAT

Tues - stallions- unders in the morning, overs in afternoon, some performance that night

WEds- mares- unders in the morning, overs in afternoon, some performance that night

Thurs - geldings- unders in the morning, overs in afternoon, some performance that night

Friday - hunter/jumper/stuff morning, afternoon liberty under, night liberty over

Sat - halter obstacles and stake classes
