Hello all

Today at Thanksgiving dunch (dinner at Lunch time) My aunt and cousin from TX were up and they had theses shoes called Z-Coil shoes they are for people with leg, hip and back problems! I am thinking these might help my problems! She said they work great and I was wondering if anyone on here has them! I was on there web site they even have work boots!

There are no prices on them but some insurance will cover them anyway I was just curious!

Thanks

RNR

I have lots of friends that wear them. One of them has the workboot style. To me it looks really clunky.

I was told by my acupunturist I should try them but just can't bring myself to do it.

I really don't like the way they look. I do know that they are really expensive, here anyway. I was told around $200.

Lots of nurses wear them and swear by them. Yes they are expensive (about $150) but for those with problems or on their feet all the time it is worth it. Sandy (Sedeh) got bucked off and broke her heel and ankle, had 4 surgeries, off work for 2 years and those are the only thing between her working and disability.

Thanks Guys! I know they are not stylish and I know they are expencive! Being a Farrier has destroyed my back, hips and legs and I am sooo tempted to try a pair!

Thanks for the info!

I wear z-coils at work and they're wonderful! When we moved to the new hospital it was the first time we had worked on concrete floors. Wasn't very long and everybodies feet/back/ knees etc started bothering them......of course it doesn't help that we're much busier and work 12-hour shifts. I got injured and was out of comission for 2 1/2 years and during that time the nurses had tried just about every shoe and orthotic on the market! Now half the nurses and doctors were z-coils and are much happier. For me it was the difference between being able go back to work in the ER(as Kathi said, I broke my ankle and heel and had 4 surgeries etc......my doctors all said that I was going to have to give up working ER) or not. Well, I've been back for over 2 years and I don't think I could do it without the Z's. They're expensive but if you have to be on your feet for long hours they're worth every penny! I used to wear them a lot at home too but I don't anymore...just for distance walking. Hope that helps with your decision!
