I had mine done 6 years ago at age 22- almost legally blind in one eye and horrible vision in the other. I'm now 20/20 and 20/15 six years later. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I hated wearing glasses and contacts were almost as bad. As for the procedure - immediately following, my eyes were dry and scratchy, but the next day, they were feeling much better. Make sure to get the eye lubricating drops for the first few days after - it helped a ton. I know that there are a few people who have had problems with Lasik, but the risks are few.
