There is someone who loves him who wants to give him a permanent loving home.
He will be a companion to their new stallion colt, as well as a much loved pet.
He will be close by where I can check on him regularly.
He will be that close because he will be in my own barn, owned and loved by ME, and a companion to my little Esprit when he gets a little bigger.
Babbit's Tale
"He has an unkind eye," she said,
"No horse for a child,
He is totally wild,
And we are all afraid."
"I am so afraid," he said,
"So lost and all alone.
I started life with light and hope,
Just four short years ago."
"And now I stand at heaven's door,
Perhaps then I'll find peace.
From neglect and disappointment,
Maybe now I will be free."
"I am your friend," she said,
Extending a loving hand.
"You do not have to worry," she said,
"Heaven's band of horses can wait."
The cautious eye rolled toward her,
Is this how it could be?
Follow you to a new home,
And you promise to love me?
The unkind eye has turned now,
Bright and cheery does it greet
His friend with loving hand,
Forever friends they'll be.
