How about 1) What's your favorite present and 2) What did you wish for that Santa forgot in 2007?

MINE:

1) I got the most beautiful ring from my mother - one of her "special ones" that she decided to take the stones out of to make me my own "special one".

2) I am still waiting for my baby grand, but it must not have been in the pictures this year.....

I got the $$$ needed to finish some projects around the house!! It's been a long time since I've wished for anything for Christmas (I usually don't get it anyway). But, I'm wishing for a new camcorder/camera and computer. Again, those will have to wait until next year!

i got new riding boots and a bling bling western belt
default_biggrin.png

nothing to be disappointed about since all i asked for was the boots...

but how about getting something we DIDN'T want - my riding horse Katie and I fell on a mountain trail Saturday and we got multiple bruises - enough to play connect the dots
default_new_shocked.gif
(me) and an 8-inch laceration (Katie) which in turn brought a $500+ vet bill <sigh> :DOH! sure could have done without THAT 3 days before Christmas!! however we are thankful that it wasn't worse for both of us as it very well could have been

My faverite was deffently the $$$ which i paid off my dept on one horse with, and then i actually have some left to add to my hay fund. Im so silly, i have a binder that i use to separate/budget money in. I keep everything separated with paperclips. Such as i have all my $$$ for hay paper clipped together, $$$ for the computer payment, $$$ for the grain, $$$ for my mare fund, $$$ for hooves/emergencies. Im an organization freak.

I got a new digital cameria that is awesome, which was really what i was needing and actually asked for. Besides that, i got a victor show halter that doesnt fit anything that im showing next year but i will hang onto it, jeans, gift certificates and new tires for the car. I took some money out of what i was given and saved, which im planning to spend for myself (imagine that!

).

I personally purchased myself a new computer, HP Vista desktop and i guess two colts if those count

I got two necklaces, a designer purse, a new barn coat, a beautiful framed limited edition map of Jamestown, and $$$$ (to go in the purse? LOL!).

Leeana -- I'm like you in a way with money. I have real money and horse money and the two do not mix

My best present was my mom's: She got a Canon S5 for Christmas which we'll be using at the horse shows this year.
default_aktion033.gif
Yay! It's hers but at least I get to play with it....Other than that I got several DVD's I'd asked for, some books, a bluetooth headset for my cell phone (to use on the way to horse shows), a "Girls' Day Out" certificate from my mom, a $50 gas card (to use on gas for horse shows), and a small tool kit from my dad so I'll stop borrowing his wrenches to work on my carts (also for horse shows!) *LOL*

I bought Kody a Double K vac-and-blow machine and a leather barn halter and before spring he will be getting a show harness and nice performance halter. I'm trying to be good and resist the temptation to buy another cart...I already have five after all!
default_rolleyes.gif
Jeesh, no wonder I'm broke. Oh, and I also bought myself a GPS so I don't get lost on the way to horse shows anymore.

Does anyone besides me notice a central theme here??

Hubby got my wedding ring resized so I can wear it again, I really missed it. That is the only thing I really wanted. I got it resized from a size 10 to a size 7. I could not be happier.

Together we are getting a VISIO 37inch flat TV, it should be here tommorrow.

Canisters to match my delft style rooster design china dinerware, silverware to go with my china (with little roosters on it!), a nice rooster wall clock, a rooster wall basket, rooster rubber spatulas, and a new show halter.
default_biggrin.png
If this continues in a few years there will be nothing in my house that doesn't have a chicken or a rooster on it..... LOL

My fave present was seeing Trudi on Christmas day (wasnt supposed to, so it was a nice surprise and totally made my day), but as far as material things, I guess it would be gift cards, which I love, so I can choose what I want...lol

Before Christmas even started, I got the new sink I've been wanting for 12 years!

A set of Toyo Mud Terrain tires for my F-250 (oh, they go gangbusters in the snow, too!), and a black Lewis & Clark map (one of only 10 ever made that way) from my friend Bill....which completes my set of all three Lewis & Clark maps!

On Christmas day I got an iPod from my oldest son, with a car charger, and wall charger, and a pack of protectors from my husband. I got a raven mug, too, from a radio station in Homer, AK. Also a check from my parents and with some of that, I bought a beautiful throw made in the USA (hard to find decorative throws that are). I will probably get a cell phone with the residual.

I also got a copy of the new Eric Clapton autobiography from my son's girlfriend, and the new pattie Boyd book, "Wonderful Tonight" also from Katie. Martin got me some heated slippers that you put the insoles in the microwave because I'm always using my heating pad to take the chill off my feet on cold nights!

A blown-glass float made in Lincoln City, Oregon (it looks just like a perfect soap bubble), another for hanging that was made in Washington of Mt. St. Helen's glass, a tripod and case for my camera, some dark chocolate truffles, and a Dance Dance Revolution game and mat for our Wii.

I also got a beautiful dragonfly stained glass window hanging and a beautiful sparkly dragonfly pin and some Ferrero Roche dark chocolates (from Robin!!!).

Everything except the iPod, the camera case, and the Wii game was made in the USA!
