Not to hijack the thread....
About 3 years ago we had about 6 surrogant mares on foal watch carrying clones in ICU. I didn't work for that service but I was interested in the clones. Each foal was either born with joint issues, immune system issues, or failure to thrive. Granted it was just 6 foals and in research, that's nothing. But when each foal costs hundreds of thousands just to get on the ground, I want better results! The ICU techs quickly lost their excitement over the project because they were so much work to keep alive on top of the other patients in ICU. Sick foals are frustrating. Sick, expensive foals is even worse! They all looked different too. So just because you clone your horse doesn't mean the clone will look anything like your horse!
