Silver Dapple X Palomino Frame Overo

Silver Dapple - Dam Colour = Chocolate Silver Dapple

Sire Colour = Silver Dapple

Palomino Frame Overo - Dam Colour = Palomino

Sire Colour = Chestnut Frame Overo

Silver Black + Silver + Black.

Palomino = Red + Cream.

So break it down.

Silver does not show on Red.

Since the horse is Palomino not Buckskin there is no Agouti present.

The silver Black does not have Agouti as it would show and you would then have a Silver Bay...

So you can get:-

Palomino

Chestnut

Black

Silver Black.

Either of the two Red based colours could "carry" Silver and of course you could get the Frame pattern (+ any other patterns that are present, Frame is rarely on it's own) on any of the colours.

You are certain only one parent carries LWO aren't you??

The palomino CAN carry Agouti as it is red-based. But you'd have to test to know!

In fact I have a palomino pinto mare that tests negative for silver, and positive for Agouti Aa.

The silver dapple should be black + silver, and would provide the basis for black/bay/buckskin

So there are even more possiblities now:

Black

Bay

Buckskin

Palomino (may or may not carry silver and/or agouti)

Chestnut (may or may not carry silver and/or agouti)

Smoky Black

and

Silver Black

Silver Bay

Silver Buckskin

Silver Smoky Black

Using the base colors above, each one could be frame overo as well.
