computer help, and fast!

hey every one, i was delelting some programs on my laptop, when it shut down, my screen is all messed up now. I figrued out the problem, or what i think is the problem. It used to be set at billions of colors now it says 16 but thats all there is i can't choose anything else. can someone please help me?

My best guess.... Sounds like you deleted the drivers for your video card. See if you can find the disks that came with your machine. One of them should have the drivers for your card. If you can't find that, then see if you can find the info on what card you have (should be able to right click on the desktop and in the pop up windo click on properties. Then click on the settings tab. This should display the graphic information and is where you would choose the number of colors. If there is nothing in the dropdown list, then look at the type of video card you have. Then you may be able to go to that card's manufacturer's web site and download and reinstall the drivers. You may have to search for your card in google or something to find the right sight.
